Wedding Photography FAQ – Your Questions Answered
How much does wedding photography cost?
My wedding packages start at $2,975 and range up to $5,000+ depending on your needs. Pricing depends on how many hours of coverage you want, whether you need a second photographer, and what’s included (like engagement sessions or albums). I offer payment plans to make it easier, and we can easily customize a package that fits your budget.
What is your photography style?
I capture a mix of natural, candid moments and beautiful posed portraits. My style is timeless and romantic – I want your photos to look amazing now – and in 20 years. I focus on real emotions and genuine smiles rather than stiff, overly posed shots. Check out my galleries to see if my style feels right for you!
How many photos will we get?
You’ll receive all the really good photos from your wedding day – typically 50-75 edited photos per hour of coverage. For a full 8-hour wedding, that’s usually 600-800+ high-quality images. I don’t limit you to a specific number because every great moment deserves to be captured.
When will we get our photos?
You’ll get a sneak peek of around a dozen photos soon after the wedding – perfect for sharing on social media! Your complete wedding gallery will be ready in 6-8 weeks. I know you’re excited to see them, and I work as quickly as possible while making sure every photo looks perfect.
Do we need a second photographer?
Possibly. I recommend a second photographer for weddings with 75+ guests, when you want coverage of both partners getting ready separately, when you doing a “First Look”, or if the ceremony and reception are at different venues. Having two photographers means we won’t miss any special moments happening at the same time. It’s available as an add-on to most packages.
What if you get sick on our wedding day?
I belong to a network of professional photographers ready to step in if there’s ever an emergency. In my years of business, this has never happened, but I always have a plan because your wedding day can’t be repeated. You’ll be covered no matter what.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! I love photographing weddings in new places. For weddings outside my local area, I just add travel costs to your package. I’ve shot weddings in the Pacific Northwest, the southern US, and East Coast too – wherever your love story takes you, I’m happy to follow.
Can we see a full wedding from start to finish?
Of course! I’ll show you 2-3 complete wedding galleries so you can see how I capture an entire day, not just the highlight moments. This helps you understand my storytelling style and see the consistency of my work throughout a full wedding day.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, and I highly recommend them! Engagement sessions help you get comfortable in front of a camera, and with me before your big day. Plus you’ll get beautiful photos for save-the-dates or your wedding website. Most couples say their engagement session made them feel much more relaxed on their wedding day.
What’s included in your packages?
All packages include professional editing, high-resolution digital photos with full printing rights, and an online gallery to share with family and friends. Depending on your package, you might also get an engagement session, second photographer, wedding albums, or extended coverage. I’ll show you exactly what’s included – no hidden fees or surprises.
